This is the only time I can remember the Chargers & Cardinals going against each other in the 80's. Everything went right for San Diego in the 1st half offensively. St Louis misses two make-able field goals. Points they could've used in the 2nd half.

Los Angeles Raiders (8-4) visit the (2-10) Atlanta Falcons at Fulton County Stadium. Could the Raiders be looking ahead to next weeks game against the Broncos?

The Raiders pass rush proving to be too much for the Falcons to handle. Marcus Allen continues to run up the yards in route to a big day. This turned out to be a better game than most people figured it would be.

The Chargers fumble away their opportunity to bury the Cardinals. This leaves the door open for St Louis to storm back in the 4th Qtr.

A defensive battle between two teams trying to win on opening day. In 1980 at Metropolitan Stadium, it was quite a shootout between Doug Williams and Tommy Kramer. I believe there were a few plays missing from the 2nd half. This was due to a copyright claim from the NFL.

First regular season game at the Metrodome for the Minnesota Vikings. It will be strange not to see them playing outdoors in extreme cold temperatures.

The Saints dominate on their 1st possession with their running game. Unfortunately, they ran into a big problem in the kicking game.

Another mistake in the kicking game by the Saints leads to another score for St Louis. Despite the blunder, the Saints still have a chance to pull off a win.

This will be the last game in the NFL for most of the replacement players. 9 players for the Raiders crossed the picket line but none crossed for San Diego. The Chargers get two golden opportunities to score off of Raider turnovers. With questionable play calling they only take advantage on one of them.
